Kanten Typ ändern

Hallo zusammen,

ich bin recht neu in Aris Express, habe aber früher bereits mti der kompletten Aris Platform gearbeitet.

Ich würde nun gerne bei einer EPK die involvierten Rollen auch mit der korrekten RACI bezeichnung anbinden, bekomme jedoch als Kanten-Typ immer nur "führt aus" was ja dem responsible entspräche. Kann man in Aris Express den Knatentyp ändern/erweitern. Sonst müsste ich mir mit dem Kantennamen behelfen, was nicht nur entscheidend aufwändiger, sondern aus meiner Sicht auch logisch falsch ist. Könnte mir hier jemand weiter helfen.

Zur Verdeutlichung: die Akttivität "Dokumentation des Projekt Umfangs" betrifft mehere Rollen, die unterschiedliche Verantwortlichkeiten, gemäß unserer RACI Matrix haben. Wenn all involvierten Rollen nun "führt aus" sind entspricht das nicht der Realität....

BPMN: Where to document the SAP transaction in a process step / task?

Dear BPM-friends,

I'm having lots of fun discovering ARIS Express and BPMN. I want to document a first process, as an example, in which I want to document which SAP transaction is used in each process step / task.

But I cannot find any object attribute where I can enter this info. And I don't see how extra attributes can be added.

Or should this be documented with an artifact? In that case, I cannot find any artifacts to use either.

Is ARIS Express maybe limited in this functionality compared to ARIS Platform?

Thanks for you input, because I don't find any answer to this question.

Blank Attributes in Data Models

I have a really strange issue with Attributes, they are all blank, Primary and Foreign Keys are ok.

If you see the attched the Attribute object is blank ion the top right corner so any new ones I add are blank also, the Attributes on the Data Model itself are blank.

When I first installed Aris everything worked fine, one day after closing everything they just became blank!

I have removed and reinstalled Aris to no affect and I can't edit or use any of my diagrams.

Any help would be appreciated.

Aris Express Rollen nicht als Definitionskopien anlegen

Hi,

mir ist beim Test-Export meiner Modellierung aufgefallen, dass sämtliche Rollen, die ich den jeweiligen Aktivitäten zugeordnet habe, mehr fach aufscheinen. Für mich sieht es so aus, als ob Aris Express als Standard immer Definitionskopien anlegt. Wie kann ich Ausprägungskopien anlegen?

siehe screen shot (im Attachment). Sonst wird die Modellierung schwierig, bzw ist im Export nicht brauchbar.

ARIS EXPRESS registration impossible

Hello When we try to register to ariscommunity, we receive a message telling that there is a maintenance until 10/4. Since this happens the 10/09, I am wondering if there is not something wrong with the registration tolol. Can you investigate? Thanks

Hallo Zusammen, ich habe mir ARIS Express heruntergeladen und habe die ersten Prozesse erstellt. Jedoch möchte ich nun die einzelnen Prozesse in einer Prozesslandschaft (Übersicht) zusammenfügen. Ich freue mich auf informative Tipps Gruß

Lost my ADF file

What happened?  I reloaded ARIS and it found my adf file, but it said it wasn't valid and immediately dropped it from the available file list.  I can't find it with windows explorer but windirstat show 11 files.  that is the 9 sample files, the msc... file and my file i presume.  How do I recover this file please?  Thanks.

Trouble with ARIS Express after Java Update on OS X Lion

Hello World,
 
since I installed the Java Security Update 2013-005 for OS X Lion 10.8, I am having trouble with ARIS:
 
Everytime I try to export a PDF image, the application returns the error
message: "cannot create output objectnull". This happens with all ADF files, even the example files.
 
Also, ARIS Express has problems finding files since I applied the update:
Everytime I open the application, I have to create a new diagram first to be able to open other files. Otherwise, it cannot open the files, though they are shown in the "open file" dialog. If I select them, it shows the spinning wheel and ends up doing nothing.
 
All of the above is not linked to a specific ADF file, but happens with all of them, even with the example files. It has to be an update issue since it worked fine before the update.
 
I already re-enabled the Apple-provided Java Web Start (http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5559), removed ARIS Express from my Applications folder and re-downloaded the jnlp file.
 
Is that a known issue? Is there any fix for this?

JRE: 1.6.0_65 (according to ARIS Express Info); updated from 1.6.0_51

Cant activate Aris Express

Hi,

I've just Downloaded Aris Express and when I get to the Activate stage it wont let me get past the user and password. saying that my user and password is wrong. I have registered and reset my password but it wont let me create a new password.

Can some one help

Can not Activate Aris Express

Hello,

I am trying to activate aris express but I get a message saying:

Unable to connect to ARIS comunity. Please connect to the internet when running ARIS Express for 

the first time so your logincan be checked.

Please also check the proxy settings of your system in the interent options.

At the same time I am able to login to aris community and proxy system settings are as requires please see attache image

Please advise

No "ARIS EXPRESS Icon" after installation

Hey!

I have a problem with the ARIS EXPRESS installation under MAC OS 10.6.8. After I've downloaded and excuted the file express.jnlp (everything went fine, no errors...), the application starts and I can use it. But after I close the application, I have to execute the express.jnlp file again instead of having an ARIS EXPRESS.app file which I can use.

I know that the installation creates the app-file because other MAC users don't have this problem.

Can someone please help me?

ARIS Express Aktivierungsproblem

Hallo zusammen,

ich habe ein Problem nach der Installation von Aris Express. Der aktivierungsassistent startet und ich gebe meine Benutzerdaten ein, allerdings erscheint die Fehlermeldung wie in dem angehängten Screenshot. Wir arbeiten auf dem System "Windows Server2008 r2" und die Einstellungen in Java sind auf "Browsereinstellungen verwenden". Bei der Version 2.3 hat dies noch Problemlos funktioniert, allerdings bei der 2.4 tritt dieses Problem wieder auf.

Es gibt ein Thema genau hier zu, allerdings habe ich auch alle punkte von damals durchgetestet.  Alles stimmt soweit von den Einstellungen.

Fehler bei Start der Anwendung

Guten Abend,

 

bei dem Versuch Aris Express 2.4 auf OS X Mavericks zu starten erhalte ich nach dem Download folgende Fehlermeldung:

java.util.HasMap cannot be cast to java.awt.RenderingHints

 

Kann man hier bereits anknüpfen oder benötigen Sie weitere Informationen meinerseits?

Aris express starts, but dont open scheme

Hi guys!

I have a problem - when i double click at .adf file aris starts, but didnt open scheme. I need to click "open" and choose .adf again. At another computer i didnt have that problem, it automaticly open scheme. How can i fix this problem?

Hi all, 

I have only just joined - first post - so first of all - Hello :-)

 

I am hoping some of you may be able to answer a couple of questions for me regarding Aris Express.

I used to use the full blown ARIS (going back 4ish years now).

A couple of the things I used to really like:

- ability to create a view per role, so that, for example, all of the activities they undertake can be listed, almost like a RACI view

- when creating any new entity, you could select from a repository if you wanted to reuse something that already exists - for example a specific IT system, a specific role, a document.

Are these available in Express?? As far as I can tell they are not, but want to be sure as I am in tool selection mode at the moment.

Express Installation Problem

Hello all

I have installed ARIS Express 2.4 on my MacBook Pro, running Mavericks, and I was able to download the packages, then connect to the internet and confirm my account to complete the setup - then I was presented with the programme itself, which is great.

My problem is that whenever I open the app again, I ALWAYS need to go through the whole process of connecting to the internet, downloading the app and going through the installation. EVERY TIME.

I do not have a clue why this is happening and I am hoping it isn't simply like that for everyone. It'd mean I couldn't use ARIS when I'm without internet and also that I will always waste a lot of time, even with an internet connection.

Hallo zusammen,

 

ich benutze  Aris Express 2.4 und kann keine Modelle mehr laden. Wenn ich die Datei doppelklicke, dann öffnet sich zuwar Aris, aber nicht das Modell. Auch aus dem Menu heraus passiert nichts.

Welche Informationen werden zur Lösung dieses Problems noch benötigt?

I'm trying to start ARIS Express on Mac Mavericks. First it is giving me this screenshot: (Notice the comment in red: This application will be blocked...etc.). After that, I got the Java exception posted below with the message: Unable to launch Aris express. Please help. What should I do?
