I'm learning to draw a data model using aris express, but I find that the shapes I could use are very limited. Some contents such as relationship and aggregation are not available. Are these functionality only accessible in Full aris version? Or I'm using wrong kind of software?

I have ARIS Express 2.4c installed on 64 bit Windows 7 with 8GB or RAM and the Aris performance is sluggish. For example, 1m 20s to open a 250KB model on C: drive (double clicking), frequent freezes of 30s to 60s on adding or modifying elements then 1m 20s to save. I have turned off the auto update option.
The Windows version of Aris Express is installed in the C:/Program Files, and I can see in that directory a 1.7 version of the JRE. I also have a 1.8 version of the JRE installed under Program Files (x86). When I run Aris Express and view in Task Manager the Image Name is "ARIS Express.exe *32", which I take to mean it is running the 32 bit version. One other thing about my set up is that my Windows profile is stored on a network location, and I can see there are some ARIS express temp files that are updated in that location when the application is used.
Hi All,
I am facing an issue with ARIS 9.8.8 version. I am able to login to the application but cant browse through any folder or can not open any model or anything. All the runnables are up and running. Database has more than enough space available.
Can you please suggest what can be wrong here and any suggestions to fix it.

I can see an option in the arisloader.cfg file to set a location for storing temporary data. I have tried to change (as shown below) but it does not seem to make any difference - the default location still seems to be used.
Is the arisloader.cfg file ignored by ARIS express

I'm aiming for a reduction of certain costs. So i would like to compare the current process with a future, more efficient process.
What's the best way in/with ARIS Express to display these costs.

Hi, is it possible to connect Symbols in Business process diagram with MS Word files throw link (when press F7 with this symbol, it runs MS Word file) and export this to PDF, so in PDF file this connection would work as hyperlink. So in PDF file I press on diagram symbol (or menu point) and connected MS Word file runs.

I´m creating a BPMN Diagram but when I try to insert a Free-form text object, I cannot see what I'm typing in until i hit, enter, I think this might be a bug of my version Aris Express 2.4d running on top of MAC OS HIgh Sierra 10.13.3 and JRE 1.8.0_151.
Also, when entering a text in the description attribute, is there a way to insert a new line (carriage return) so I can create a list of items, similar to excel when editing a cell you would use Option-Enter to insert a line in the same cell.

Users successfully registered on http://www.ariscommunity.com& Aris is installed on their computers, but after users enter their logins and passwords the system deadlocks and no possibility to enter «choose language» step granted.
Tried to prescribe proxy in existing Java – no luck.
Please advise.

I just downloaded ARIS Express to try it out for some archimate models, However I cannot find the Archimate model type...
Am I doing something wrong (or missing something) or is Archimate (no longer) available in ARIS Express.

Is it possible to create any random new connection types between 2 objects in a model type ? I want to create a connection type from Org unit object to KPI instance object in KPI Map model type. But when i checked the KPI Map model type under Method dropdown in Configuration settings there is no predefined connection type from Org unit object to KPI instance.
Can anyone please provide me some insights on this. I am using ARIS Architect.
After installing the most recent version of ARIS Express, I am not able to run the application due to the following error as soon as I try to open it: "The program can't start because MSVCR100.dll is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem. I have uninstalled, reinstalled, looked for the missing file an tried to drop one in the C:\Program Files\ARIS Express\client folder. Nothing is working. The only progress I was able to make was after dropping the file in the listed path above, I get an error saying it is the wrong version of the file. So, it seems that the installation file is not putting any version of this file in the location that it is being called from. Any suggestions? Thank you.
Wir verwenden zurzeit die ARIS-Version 2.4c. Da eine Umstellung auf Windows 10 geplant ist, hatten wir jetzt auf einem Windows 10 Surface ARIS 2.4c installiert. Beim Schritt 3 des Aktivierungs-Assistenten (Eingabe der Zugangsdaten) kommt man nicht weiter. Der Ladebalken bleibt und es passiert nichts. Ist diese Problem bekannt bzw. gibt es eine Lösung?

it pastes as an image instead.
it pastes fine within the same document.
